Wie viele andere Unternehmen betreibt die BAWAG Group seit einigen Jahren eine Microservice Architektur. Um die Vorteile einer solchen Architektur voll ausnützen zu können wurde Ende 2019 beschlossen die aktuelle on-prem Infrastruktur in die Cloud zu bringen. Mit Azure & Microsoft als strategischem Partner ist daher im letzten Jahr eine der größten AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) Umgebungen Österreichs entstanden die mehrere kundennahe Applikationen beheimatet. In dieser Session wollen wir einen Einblick in die Reise & Ziele geben: die Auswahl der Container Plattform, Effizienz- und Verbesserungspotentiale gegenüber der Bestandsplattform, Architekturüberlegungen, der Weg von der Entwicklungs-, Test- bis zur Produktiv-Umgebung & schlussendlich die erfolgreiche Migration der Applikationen.
